Preparation:

Meat –
In an skillet, over a medium heat, season ground beef with garlic powder and oregano. Brown the meat and drain.
In a large saucepan, add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce and oregano. Set aside.
In an skillet, heat olive oil. Saute’ garlic and onions for about 5 minutes.
Mixed sauteed onions and garlic with meat into the sauce and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

White Bechamel Sauce –
Shred the cheddar cheese.
Put the olive oil in a pan. Add 3 pieces fresh bay leaves.
Get the fresh leeks. Trim off the outside or coarse layer until you get the lovely fresh part of the leeks.
Run the knife down the leaks length and cut it into quarters, then wash it because they are sometimes muddy. Wash it from the root down.
Slice the leeks about a centimeter in length and put it into the pan to slow cook them.
Turn the temperature down and let it sweat away with a splash of water (about half an hour).
Remove the bay leaves then add two tablespoons of flour to the pan, give it a little stir.
Pour a liter of milk into the pan. Stir it slowly and bring it to a boil. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
You can leave it chunky if you want, or use a food processor to make it smooth and silky. This also brings out the sweet leeks flavor.
Add half of the grated cheese and half of grated nutmeg. Mix.

Assembly –
Spread the meat first on a baking pan, about a centimeter thick.
Next, put the white sauce all around the meat.
Put the lasagna on top of the meat. Make four layers.
Sprinkle cheddar on top of the white sauce.
Bake it in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 45 minutes. Serve.
