“As a steady and constant customer at least twice weekly for the last 8 years I can say with complete honesty that this Market Basket is close to my heart

I have never had a problem with anything I buy here, fruits and vegetables are always fresh. Meats that I buy are ground chicken and ground turkey along with fish. Always fresh.

Eggs are always great never had a problem.

I love the huge selection of different ethnic foods they offer from Hispanic to Asian. I am Hispanic so I live the fact they always have a huge selection of plantains.

They have the most amazing fresh French bread. Prices are definitely reasonable, especially since they are doing the 4% off so sad it will end soon.

So many people come to shop here from all walks of life which is another reason it’s great. Cashiers young or old are always friendly. Always helpful.

Thank you Market Basket on fletcher for serving our community.”

“A Lot of Selection! But ALWAYS BUSY! Hard to Find Parking & Long Lines but not so bad I wouldn’t shop there but when I’m tired I’d rather go to another one.”

“Excellent fruits The quality of fruits here is superior to even the most expensive grocery stores around Lowell. The price for pretty much all items are very good. I compared this place to Hannaford and Crosbys and it is much cheaper and better quality in this branch of Market Basket (I don’t know about other branches). They have a great selection of healthy food and juice as well.”

“I was skeptical about shopping grocery store in Lowell but this location is just over the Dracut line. The store is very clean and the staff is very friendly. It is without a doubt the best value of any grocery store around. Also apparently for the rest of the year they are taking additional 4% off everything in the store. It’s great that it is a family owned, local business.”

“Best prices in the whole world. I don’t need upity I need low prices.”

“I’ve lived in MA since 1978. In that time there’s always been a DeMoulas or MarketBasket store nearby and though our relationship hasn’t always been perfect I’ve ended up generally preferring them primarily because the same basket of groceries seems inevitably to cost less. There have been a couple of occasions where I was unhappy enough about something to write a letter to headquarters but at this point I now feel such “loyalty” (if that’s what you’d call it) that proximity to a Market Basket would even figure in a housing decision. I’m not sure why they can so consistently beat the other stores but I’ve heard that one big factor may be that they typically own their locations and are thus in control of at least one big cost. Other stores in this locale that I can remember shopped at include Hannaford, Stop’N’Shop, Shop’N’Save, Purity Supreme, Shaw’s and Sun Foods – I’m sure I’ve left some out. Recently I had a look at the Target on Plain Street and was surprised at how well stocked it is, though they have a ways to come before they’re a threat. The Market Basket in question is sorta on the border between Lowell with it’s ethnic diversity and Chelmsford, which is, um, less so. I think the managers have a hard time stocking the variety of items that would please all constituents. Their problem is made none the easier by this store apparently being one of their older, smaller ones, so finding room for everything must be tough. But they certainly please me and the respectful, helpful attitude and prices keep me coming back.”
